College, community partner to offer free transportation - Christian Hudspeth, the Marcolian of Marietta College

Students in need of a ride are in luck, as Marietta College has teamed up with Washington-Morgan Community Action to provide free public transportation.Executive Director of College Relations Tom Perry said that this is a relatively new service and has not been brought to the attention of many students yet. "I know that in years past the service was provided at a discount, rather than just being completely free," Perry said. "It's a really great service, especially with the way gas prices are, but right now just not enough students know about it for it to be successful."Darla Johnson is the director of housing and transportation for Washington-Morgan Community Action and worked with the college to provide this service.
