Students can save gas money with Ride Share - Haley Henley, Settler Online

Vol State's Ride Share program offers a way for students to set up carpool plans with other Vol State students. The program was started in an effort to conserve students' gas money. With gas prices soaring, students who are on budgets are finding that their accounts are quickly draining. According to www.CNN.com, gas prices have risen 29 cents per gallon in the last month, and is projected to continue to rise.Since the uprising in Libya began last month, gas prices in the United States have risen, while oil prices rose to the highest levels since 2008. That means Americans are now paying an extra $108 million each day for the same amount of fuel, according to the Associated Press.
